Nautilus tech by Faber Spa: The new frontier for hoods ventilation
For fifty years Faber Spa has designed and manufactured hoods, holding a key global position in production and technology. Research and development has played a central role in achieving this objective and has recently been strengthened through the implementation of FEM tools; in particular the ANSYS software platform.
Increasing the energy efficiency thanks to CAE simulation
Immergas has been the leading Italian company for condensing boilers since 2002 and before that traditional gas boilers. About 200,000 of the 350,000 boilers produced in 2015 are manufactured in Italy at the Brescello (Reggio Emilia) headquarters and most of the components are designed and made at our Italian plants, where over 600 employees design and manufacture 200 different models over 10 production lines.
CFD analysis for the evaluation of the air flow within a climate control unit
In order to assess the possible advantages offered by CFD analysis in the new product design process, a series of numerical simulations was performed by Climaveneta SpA with the support of EnginSoft. The aim of the activity was to reproduce the new ACU171 Expanded close control unit (see Figure 1), matching numerical results with experimental measures.
CFD-Driven Design of a Ventilation System for Kitchen Hoods
The Elica Group has been present in the cooker hood market since the 1970s, it is chaired by Francesco Casoli and led by Giuseppe Perucchetti and today it is the world leader in terms of units sold. It is also a European leader in the design, manufacture and sale of motors for central heating boilers. With approximately 3,400 employees and an annual output of over 18 million units, the Elica Group has eight plants, including Italy, Poland, Mexico, Germany, India and China.
